The Swiss-China Free Trade Agreement (FTA) will come into effect as of July 1, 2014.
The new Free Trade Agreement (FTA) is the first one between China and Continental Europe. It is designed to boost trade and investments between Switzerland and the Middle Kingdom. In addition, thanks to trilateral trade opportunities using Switzerland and/or China as business platforms, Asia and Europe in general will benefit from this agreement. Finally, this FTA will also markedly improve legal certainty in various fields, such as intellectual property.
