The fact you can access this information with such ease is due in part to an invention in Geneva a decade ago – the World Wide Web invented by a young British scientist at CERN.
For over 30 years, Geneva has seen its annual international inventions fair attract more exhibitors from more countries. This year there will be over 700 from some 40 countries presenting over 1000 inventions. The Geneva fair is the largest and most important in the world to be devoted exclusively to inventions and some 65 000 visitors are expected.
Described by the organisers as the world’s premier marketplace for new techniques and products, the fair has a very practical objective: to bring inventors and investors together. Last year 45% of the inventions attracted some 30 million USD.
For inventors hungry for the essential exposure for their inventions the event will be covered by 650 journalists and 20 key TV networks
